God the Son

One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit

In Hebrew (the language the Old Testament was originally written in) the name of God is spelled YHWH. Since ancient Hebrew had no written vowels, it is uncertain how the name was pronounced originally, but there are records of the name in Greek, which did have written vowels. These records indicate that in all likelihood God's name should be pronounced "Yahweh".

God the Son:

Jesus Christ is the central figure of the Christian faith and followers of Jesus are named after him: Christ-ians.

Jesus is the best way that we can see what God is like.

God the Father sent him into the world so that people could know what he is like, so that he could show people the ways he wants us to live our lives and so that he could sort out the mess caused by us failing to live that way.

Jesus lived such an incredible life: performing such amazing miracles and saying such amazing things that people were convinced that he was someone special. Those closest to him could tell that he was more than just a great man - that he was God on earth with us. The best way to describe him was, and is, as God's son.
